PURPOSE OF COLLECTION OF PERSONAL DATA

A. PERSONAL DATA AND PRIVACY POLICY

A1. If you provide any personal data to Mannings, you are deemed to have authorised Mannings to collect, retain and use personal information about you for the following purposes:
  a.   Processing your application for membership under any Mannings programme;

  b.   providing you with services under any Mannings programme;

  c.   marketing of goods and services and sending any advertising and/or promotional material to you;

  d.   conducting research on new goods and services for you;

  e.   carrying out matching procedure in accordance with the law;

  f.   notifying you of special offers or new Products, updates to this site, promotions;

  g.   performing statistical and analysis of your behaviour and characteristics in order to measure interest in and use of the various areas of the site and providing this information to advertisers together with information as to the number of users that have been exposed to or clicked on their banners;

  h.   making such disclosures as may be required for any of the above purposes or by law.


A2.   You further agree that we may disclose and transfer (whether in Hong Kong or abroad) to our partners, any other persons under a duty of confidentiality to us and any of our actual or proposed assignees or transferees of our rights with respect to you to use, disclose, hold, process, retain or transfer such Personal Data for the purposes of A.1 herein for and on behalf of Mannings.

A3.   Please note that in the event that sufficient personal information is not supplied, or is not satisfactory to Mannings then your application for registration to Mannings may not be accepted.

A4.   Any personal information supplied by you will be retained by Mannings and will be accessible to Mannings' employees and other persons or bodies corporates engaged by Mannings, for or in relation to any of the purposes stated in A.1 herein.


B. CONFIDENTIALITY

B1.   Personal data held by Mannings relating to its online customers or to visitors to the site will be kept confidential in accordance with Mannings’ Personal Data and Privacy Policy.

B2.   Any questions, comments, suggestions or information other than personal data sent or posted to the site, or any part of the site by visitors will be deemed voluntarily provided to Mannings on a non-confidential and non-proprietary basis. Mannings reserves the right to use, reproduce, disclose, transmit, publish, broadcast and/or post elsewhere such information freely, including passing it to any associated company for example, in connection with the development, manufacture and marketing of products and services and to meet customer needs.


C. SAFETY OF PERSONAL DATA

All reasonable efforts are made to ensure that any personal data held by Mannings on this site is stored in a secure and safe place.

Mannings may use 'cookies' on this site in order to :
* enable tighter security
* enable online customers to keep browsing
* personalise sites for customers
* build online customer or visitor profiles

Customer who wants to disallow cookies can do so on his Web browser.


D. LINKS

This site may contain links to other sites and pages. By activating a link, such as for example by clicking on the banner of an advertiser, you leave this site and Mannings does not exercise control over any personal data or any other information you give to any other entity after you have left this site.


E. RIGHT OF ACCESS TO PERSONAL DATA

E1.   Under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, you have the right of access to personal information held by Mannings and to request correction of the information and to be informed of action taken in response to any such request and/or request that there be attached to the information a statement which you can supply to Mannings relating to the fact that you have requested a correction. You agree to pay to Mannings the reasonable charges requested by Mannings in relation to the time and attendances involved in complying with your request in this regard.
